Casa Linda Estates is a desirable neighborhood thanks in part to our expansive yards. But in several areas of the neighborhood, our current zoning doesn’t reflect the actual setbacks of our houses.

 

That means future builders could potentially construct homes much closer to the street or to neighboring houses. And there would be no recourse except fighting it in the courts.

 

The Neighborhood Stabilization Overlay would put the existing setbacks into code. So any new constructions or renovations that violate the setbacks would be denied permits by the city until they meet the code.

 

This initiative only applies to the Albertson’s side of the neighborhood and homes on Buckner. The Post Office side of CLE already has an NSO in place.  

 

We’re now collecting signatures to pass the Neighborhood Stabilization Overlay. If you’re in the affected area, sign the official petition and give to your block captain no later than March 31st, sooner if possible.
